S.T.A.R.S. is the ONLY program of its kind
that provides backpacks and basic school supplies to
public elementary, middle and high schools
so students have the tools they need the first day of school in Orange County, FL.
Although every child needs a backpack, they don't need more than one.
S.T.A.R.S.' goal is to coordinate community based and individual efforts
to efficiently and effectively assist students in need
so every child who needs a backpack gets one.

Elementary Student's Backpack SHOPPING LIST
1 dozen #2 Pencils, 1 rectangular Pink Eraser, 1 box of 24 Crayola brand Crayons, 1 box of Colored Pencils,
3 Folders with 2 prongs and 3 pockets, 1 pack wide ruled loose-leaf notebook Paper, 2 Glue Sticks,
1Rruler with inches & centimeters, 1 pair Fiskars brand scissors, 1 plastic Pencil Box,
and a new Backpack (no wheels, please).
OPTIONAL ITEMS--1 Marble Composition Notebook, Narrow Point Highlighters, 1 three-Ring Binder (1").

Middle School Student's Backpack SHOPPING LIST
1 dozen #2 Pencils, 1 box of Colored Pencils,1 package of black or blue Ball-point Pens, 2 Spiral Notebooks,
1 Calculator, 1 Yellow Highlighter, 1 pack wide-ruled loose-leaf notebook Paper,
1 three-Ring Binder, 1 pack of Tabbed Dividers for binder, 1 pack of 3"x5" Index Cards,
and 1 large size Backpack (no wheels, please).
OPTIONAL ITEMS--Quadrille Graph Paper, 1 ruler with centimeters and inches, Protractor.

High School Student's Backpack SHOPPING LIST

1 pack of Tabbed Dividers, 1 Yellow Highlighter, 1 pack college ruled loose-leaf notebook Paper,
2 college ruled Spiral Notebooks, 1 pack of "3x5" Index Cards, 1 USB Thumb Drive,
